The History of KENO
The history of KENO Game began when Cheung Leung introduced a game about 200 B.C. in China. Cheung's city was at war for several years and supplies for his army were failing. The people of his city refused to contribute any more to the war fund, so Cheung created a game of chance to produce revenue to provision his army. The game was an instant success and the city was saved. Spreading throughout China, the game was used to help fund the building of the Great Wall. The game became known as the White Pigeon Game because carrier pigeons were used to send the results (winning numbers) from the games in the larger cities to small villages and hamlets.
Remaining basically the same ever since being created, the game of KENO Gambling Casino was brought to the United States by Chinese immigrants who labored on the railroad in the Old West.
The Casino Game - Basic Intro
If your familiar with any lotto, you already know a lot of what you need to play KENO. KENO is similar to lotto only it offers better odds and more frequent games. The drawback - a whopping house advantage of around 30 percent!
The game consists of three major components; the KENO ticket, the ball hopper or cage and a display board. In it's simplest terms, the game works like this: Players mark from 1 to 20 spots on a ticket.
A machine of some type selects 20 balls at random, out of 80. Each ball is marked with a number from 1 to 80. The 20 selected numbers are displayed on the display board. Players can win if enough of the spots selected on their ticket match the balls drawn.

.:. STRAIGHT TICKET
The more numbers you chose roll out on the balls - the higher is the payoff. You can play tickets with 1 through 12 or 15 marked spots. Each ticket offers three different price and payoff options. By pressing A, B or C buttons the selection is made. The payoffs are shown in the table on the lefthand side.
.:. TOP & BOTTOM
This ticket doesn't require spots to be marked. You are betting that top or bottom part of the ticket will have fewer spots than the opposite part. The payoff depends on how great that difference is.
.:. THE EDGE
This ticket doesn't require spots to be marked. 36 spots on the edges of the ticket are automatically selected. You are paid depending on the number of rolled out matches.
.:. SWEET SIXTEEN
This ticket costs $3 and requires 16 spots to be selected by you. It is similar to the STRAIGHT TICKET but doesn't offer A, B or C payoff options. Another difference is that the payoff doesn't increase in the direct proportion to the number of matches. With all 16 numbers selected, the payoff is shown in the table on the lefthand side.
